Picking a Software

You will need the appropriate graphics/photo editing software to work with digital backdrops. We do not sell the software on this site at this time, and we are completely unaffiliated with any of the software makers and their products mentioned below. Make sure your computer meets the requirements for any software you plan to buy.
For best results, we recommended using one of the following softwares when working with photos and digital backdrops, though there are many softwares available with similar features:
  • Adobe Photoshop (7.0 or higher, CS or higher, Elements versions)
  • Paint Shop Pro by Corel or Jasc (8.0 or higher)
  • Before you buy software that is not listed above, make sure it has features/tools that can select, erase, and replace detailed parts of photos, and not just cut, divide, crop or rotate them. When working with digital backdrops, you'll need full editing power over your photos -- many digital imaging softwares, digital photo album softwares, and photo organizing softwares will not be able to do what's necessary to work with digital backdrops, so be careful before you buy. Also, selecting a graphics/photo editing software that allows you to work with "layers," like the ones listed above, will benefit you greatly.
If you are not sure if your current graphics/editing software has the features necessary to work with digital backdrops, you may still find it satisfactory to use. We invite you to try working with one of our digital backdrops and our online tutorials, all for FREE, in our online tutorials section.
There, you will see our free tutorials, along with a link to download one of our free digital backdrops. We suggest you try using your software with our digital backdrop and tutorials before you buy. This way, you can try the process for free with your software, to see if it gives you the results you want, without having to spend a penny.
