As we mention in our tutorials, and in our Using a Chromakey tip --
when working with your graphics software, try throwing a drop shadow effect behind your subject on the digital backdrop,
and see what kind of effect it has, as your subject can look more natural in many settings. Adjust the color as well,
as sometimes black or gray will look better. In many cases, especially when working with a light or white original background,
adding a white drop shadow effect can be perfect! And, you can give your subject more than one drop shadow, such as a slight shadow
to the left and a heavier shadow to the up-right. If your graphic software has the option, you can place the "shadows" on
a new layer, and continue to place shadows on new layers as you need them. Then, adjust the transparency of each layer or
remove them as necessary, to give your subject the perfect look! |

Giving your subject a little shadow can make a great difference.
See below for two examples and notice the difference a drop shadow effect can make.
See our Tutorials and Users Gallery for more examples.
And, don't forget, you have all of your software's graphical tools at your hand to give your photo creations that "final touch"
or effect. |
